SCC Community Association attracts 800-plus to Hi Neighbor!

With home sales in Sun City Center averaging around 40 a month, the past year brought a host of newcomers into the community. That’s why the SCC Community Association’s Hi Neighbor! event each year is so helpful. Janet Ditmore, who chairs the Hospitality Committee, is happy to tell them about the CA-sponsored traditional Hi Neighbor! held in November each year.
Ditmore mails personal invitations to each new home with information about the two-hour event that gives CA clubs and civic clubs and organizations the opportunity to showcase their activities for newcomers and others considering trying their hand at something new.
This is the seventh year Ditmore has organized Hi Neighbor!, and she attributes its success to the CA staff, an always-willing volunteer team, and the cooperative attitude of the groups who participate. She also sends accolades to Aston Gardens who again provided delectable cookies — no small gesture for an attendance numbering around 800.
