Henry J. Binder
Henry ‘Hank’ J. Binder, 96, of Sun City Center, formerly of Keystone, passed away on August 2, 2019. Phyllis E. Binder, his wife of 66 years, preceded him in death. He was born in Berlinsville, Pa.
Survivors include their three children: Larry, husband of Susie Binder of Ruskin, Fla.; Lynne, wife of Robert Strother of Huntsville, Ala. and Wendy, wife of Scott Havlock of Maryville, Tenn.; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Hank served in the U.S. Army during World War II, and he was a combat medic during the Korean War. His rank was major when he retired from the U.S. Army Reserves. He served as a trustee of The Military Family Support Trust while he lived at Freedom Plaza.
Burial will be private at Bushnell National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the charity of your choice. Arrangements by Sun City Center Funeral Home, 813-634-9900.
Tamara S. Southwell
Tamara Sue Duke Southwell, age 77, passed away July 30, 2019.
She was born in Mulberry, Fla., on July 1, 1942, to Chester and Laura Jean (Hancock) Duke. She moved to Apollo Beach 51 years ago from Plant City. She was a teacher’s aide for Hillsborough County schools, an avid Tampa Bay Rays fan and of the Baptist faith.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Southwell. She is survived by her daughter, Sherri Southwell; granddaughter, Jessika Southwell and brother, Sam Duke.
The family will receive friends Thursday, Aug. 8, 2019, from 2 to 3 p.m. at Seigler Funeral Home-Chapel, 1300 Hwy. 60 E., Mulberry, FL 33860. Celebration of Life will follow at 3 p.m.
