New Parrish elementary school dedicated
Longtime local educator, community leader and former Manatee County School Board member Barbara Harvey thanked everyone during the July 27 dedication and ribbon cutting for the school district’s newest elementary school, Barbara A. Harvey Elementary School. The new school principal, Hayley Rio, welcomed about 500 people and special guests in the cafeteria and special events room. The $28 million school, located at 8610 115th Ave. E. in Parrish, will be the educational home to 838 students.
