Ways to stay in the spotlight all year
For better or for worse, 2019 is right around the corner. And I know we all hope the new year will bring us luck, love, health and business success. Now the chamber probably cannot find you love, or improve your luck, and we don’t have any medical professionals on staff to monitor your health … But, if your business needs a little TLC in the new year, the chamber may have an answer for pulling it off life support and helping you make a big splash in 2019.
Here’s how we get started. The chamber holds monthly events during the year, and we offer you the chance to sponsor those monthly and some seasonal events. These events could be huge for your business if you decide to take advantage of them. When your business becomes a sponsor, you supply a little food, some beverages and maybe some raffle prizes. The chamber provides you with the captive audience all eager to hear about your business or service. What a great way to get your name out there in 2019.
Here are your choices: Our monthly coffees are always the second Tuesday of the month from 8 to 9 a.m. It’s a great way for members to kickoff their day with breakfast and a little networking before they head off to work. Sponsors provide the breakfast, and may hold the coffee either at the chamber or at their business location. Jan. 8 is already taken by the Bulk Food Superstore. Join us there at 8 a.m.
Our members’ luncheon is always the third Thursday of the month from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Lunches are usually held at the chamber, but if your location can accommodate a large group, our members love a road trip. You get the chance to make your sales pitch to our members, or you can secure a speaker, and give us a lunch and learn opportunity. Give me a call about the pricing options for this sponsorship.
Business After Hours is always the fourth Thursday from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Again, at the chamber or your location. It’s your choice. Snacks and adult beverages are always appreciated, and you can throw in your own special touches such as games, music or interactive activities. It’s your night.
And we’re in the middle of golf cart poker run season. From now until May 3, on the first Friday of every month from 1 to 3 p.m., you can participate as one of the stops on our poker run. For a mere 50 bucks, it’s a great way to introduce Sun City Center residents to your business or service. For members not on the golf cart path, your stop can be at the chamber. And remember residents, if you’re participating in the poker run, RSVP to the chamber the Thursday before so we get a better head count.
And there’s a new sponsorship opportunity we started this year. Members can sponsor the coffee served at our monthly lunch. Considering the board Chairwoman Connie Huber and I are both perpetually caffeine deprived, we need that extra cup of Joe at lunch. So, for the $50 sponsorship fee, you get signage and a chance to give your elevator pitch to the crowd. And you’ll earn Connie and my undying gratitude.
So members, I’m sure you’re in planning mode for next year — and so are we. Give me a call at 813-634-5111, or shoot me an email at lynne@sccchamber.com to let me know what you’re thinking. Sponsorships are filling up fast. Don’t miss out on this golden opportunity to keep your business in the spotlight.
