Sun City Area Chamber thanks its volunteers
Anyone visiting the local chamber of commerce in Sun City Center knows them. They greet people, answer phones, provide referrals and directions, and for all intents and purposes they’re the community’s 411 information service.
So earlier this month, the Sun City Center Area Chamber of Commerce thanked them with a catered breakfast and gift bags filled with donated gift cards and items supplied by its members and board and raffle prizes.
“The chamber couldn’t operate without the great work our volunteers do every day,” said Lynne Conlan, executive director of the 400-member chamber. “This annual breakfast is just a small token of our appreciation for their dedication and service.”
Conlan, board members Steve Sciuga and Hal Jeffrey and board President Connie Huber attended the event and personally expressed their gratitude. Honorary mayor candidates Joe Zuniga and Roger Rolewicz were also there.
“I thought the breakfast was very nice and having it at the chamber gave everyone the opportunity to attend,” said Dee Williams, a seven-year volunteer. “We all had a good time and appreciated it.”
