The Holiday Breakfast on December 1 was the perfect way to kick off the holidays. 160 volunteers served almost 700 breakfasts. The SCC Organ and Keyboard Club provided lively music to create a cheery atmosphere. (December 7, 2019 is the tentative date for next year’s event.)

Nearly 700 Sun City Center residents and visitors enjoyed camaraderie and a hearty pancake breakfast at the 11th annual Holiday Breakfast/Walk on the Sun City Center Community Association’s Central Campus.
A volunteer army of 160 served breakfast and cheer from 7:30 to 11:30 a.m. on Dec. 1. The SCC Organ and Keyboard Club provided nonstop seasonal music. Guests were encouraged to explore the campus and browse club rooms to learn about the group activities and to shop for handmade creations offered by club members.
Co-chairs (R to L) Brenda/Floyd Curvin and Bob/Pat Sullivan were pleased that so many came out to join the fun. They send holiday greetings to everyone and encourage adding next year’s breakfast on your 2019 calendar right now. It is usually the first Saturday in December (subject to change).
The Curvins, who will be the lead organizers next year, invite comments/suggestions about this event to scchbreakfast@gmail.com.

Jayne and Jim Holly are newbies to Sun City Center. They came in October from Michigan. “We love the community breakfast idea. There is a lot of energy in the room and it’s a chance to meet new people,” they said. The Holly’s were impressed by the number of volunteers working the event.
