Warren H. Buckner
Warren “Bud” H. Buckner of Tampa, Fla., died August 22, 2018. He was 98. Bud was born on August 11, 1920, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
He is survived by two sons, Michael and James; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Bud enjoyed photography, travel, needlepoint and reading. He was a pilot in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II and a Mason, and he made many friends who he enjoyed visiting with and sharing stories.

Arthur L. Jarvela
Arthur L. Jarvela, 89, a resident of Arbour Square in Harleysville, Pa. since October 2017, passed away on August 18, 2018, at Einstein Medical Center Montgomery in East Norriton, Pa. He formerly lived in Sun City Center, Fla. for 31 years. He was preceded in death by his first wife Joan Jarvela, in 2005, and by his second wife Betty Scroggie Jarvela, in 2017.
Born December 2, 1928, in Laurium, Mich., he was the son of the late Arthur L. and Laura (Christensen) Jarvela. He received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering in 1951 from Michigan Technological University and later received his master’s degree from the University of Delaware. He served in R.O.T.C. in both high school and college. He later served in the U. S. Air Force during the Korean War and was stationed in Germany and France.
Mr. Jarvela was employed with Longwood Gardens in Kennett Square, Pa. for 25 years where he was head of the maintenance department, retiring in 1985. He was an active member of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Sun City Center, Fla. and Trinity Lutheran Church in Fairview Village, Pa. He was also a member of the Sun City Center Emergency Squad.
Surviving is a daughter, Lori J. Peltier of Collegeville, Pa., and two grandchildren, Lisa Kissel and her husband, Ezra, of Alburtis, Pa., and Eric Peltier and his partner, Kelly Kiernan, of Prague. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. In addition to his wives, he was preceded in death by a son, Michael Jarvela, in 1969, and by a sister, Betty DeCoe, in 2013.
A public memorial service is pending and will be announced. Interment will be private at Union Hill Cemetery in Kennett Square. Stephen P. Tangney
Stephen P. Tangney, 59, of Sun City Center, Fla. passed away suddenly on Sunday, July 8, 2108. He is survived by his beloved wife Sandy Tangney, to whom he was married for 12 years.
Stephen is survived by his mother Mary Tangney of Worcester, Mass.; daughter Jennifer Kibbe of Chelmsford, Mass.; son Stephen C. Tangney of Worcester, Mass; stepsons Marc (Amanda) Amaral of Pittsfield, Mass. and Brian (Taryn) Amaral of Ballston Lake, N.Y.; father- and mother-in-law, William (Barbara) Boehm of Punta Gorda, Fla. and Dorothy Meier of Ruskin, Fla.; brothers Michael (Cindy) of Seattle, Wash., Brian (Anne) of Holden, Mass. and John (Liza) of Worcester, Mass. He leaves behind his granddaughter, Giuliana Kibbe and three stepgrandchildren, Salvador, Haley and Faith whom he loved so dearly. Stephen is also survived by his brother and sister-in-laws, Donald (Deanna) Boehm of Talladega, Ala., Debbie (Raymond) Etman of Kissimmee, Fla., Karen (Billy) Jarrett of Decatur, Ill., Paula (Gary) Wells of San Jose, Calif., Connie (Timothy) Berliner of Largo, Fla., Stacy (Matt) of Stephentown, N.Y. and Bill Amidon of Los Banos, Calif. He also leaves behind several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews whom he enjoyed spending many happy times and laughter with. He was preceded in death by his father Eugene E. Tangney and his nephew Brian Tangney Jr.
Stephen was born in Worcester, Mass. and was a graduate of Doherty Memorial High School. He later went on to graduate from the Operation Engineer Apprenticeship program and began working for the International Union as a heavy equipment operator for 38 years. Stephen was a loving husband to his wife Sandy, and they enjoyed many happy times together boating and fishing.
He was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church where he enjoyed helping with Sunday School, VBS and other church functions and enjoyed working with the children and the fellowship of his many church friends. He also was a loving father and grandfather and always enjoyed watching them grow up. There are many happy memories of Stephen as a youth growing up with his brothers as he was always fixing and working on cars, his favorite hobby. Stephen always had a wink in his eye and a smile on his face. He will be missed dearly by his family and friends. Jokes and Laughter will live in our hearts forever.
A Memorial Service and Celebration of Life will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, September 15, 2018, at Calvary Lutheran Church, 5309 N. U.S. 41, Apollo Beach, FL 33572.
