It’s that wonderful time again

It’s that most wonderful time of the year. No, I don’t mean Christmas. Too humid for that. It’s Chamber Membership Directory time. Not feeling the excitement yet? Let me help you get there. It’s beautiful, informative, informational — I could go on. But then again, I’m biased.
So let’s just say our annual membership directory is good for both residents and members. For you residents, at one time or another, you’re going to need a dentist, an AC guy, a financial planner, hearing aids or a plumber. Who you gonna call? The chamber. We’ve got members from all walks of life, eager to meet you and help solve your issues.
So what do you need to do? Nothing. Just keep using our current directory. And our volunteers can help with any of your needs by phone, or you can come on in for some referrals.
Members? You, on the other hand, have some work to do. First off, all members in good standing as of today, get two listings in the publication — one by business category and the other is an alphabetical listing. For this to happen correctly, you have to check your contact information with the chamber. By thumbing through the book, I can see some incorrect listings. Many of you have changed jobs, but we may still have you listed at your former place of employment. With close to 400 members, there is no way the chamber staff will catch all of those moves unless you tell us. Help us make sure we get your listing right. And there’s more for our members. You get the opportunity to place an ad in the directory. If you want to renew your ad position from last year’s directory, or you’re a first-time advertiser, you need to contact our outside sales guy, Josh Rose. He’ll get you set up. Remember that ad is going to reach the entire chamber membership and local residents, as well. Another benefit of your chamber membership — referrals.
