Isaiah L. McCloskey, Jr.
Isaiah L. “Ike” McCloskey, Jr., age 84, of Sun City Center, died peacefully after a short illness, on July 20, 2017, at Lifepath Hospice of Sun City Center.
Ike was born in Bloomsburg, Pa., on December 26,1932. He was the son of the late Isaiah and Lena McCloskey and Irene Davis.
Ike graduated from Bloomsburg High School in 1950 and went to serve his country during the Korean War. He was an engineer in the United States Navy from 1950-1953.
After military service, Ike obtained a degree from Bloomsburg Teachers College in 1957 and a M.S. from Maryland College in 1968. Ike spent 23 years in public education.
Outside of his love for his family, perhaps his greatest love was his music. Upon arrival in Sun City Center in 2001, he helped to form The Front Porch Pickers musical club. Ike was a respected and valued member of the club until his passing.
Ike is survived by his devoted wife and best friend Sally. Ike and Sally have four children, 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
A service to celebrate the life of Ike McCloskey was held on Saturday, July 29, in Bloomsburg, Pa.
Mary P. Pilon
Mary P. Pilon, of the Tampa, Fla. area, formerly of Ecorse, Mich, passed away July 20, 2017 at the age of 92.
Mary was the beloved wife of the late Anthony “Wesley.” She was the loving mother of Peggy (Richard) Mathies and Bill (Carol) Pilon; dearest grandmother of Jeff; dear sister of Helen Pulk. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
There was a visitation held Tuesday, July 25, 2017, from 5 to 9 p.m., at Molnar Funeral Homes –The Thon Center, 2760 Biddle Ave., Wyandotte, Mich. Instate was Wednesday, July 26, at 9:30 a.m., followed by a Mass at 10 a.m., at St. Andre’ Bessette, 4250 W. Jefferson Ave., Ecorse, Mich.

Robert J. Gibson
Robert Joseph Gibson (Bob), 87, of Sun City Center, Florida passed away on Saturday, July 29, 2017.
Born December 28, 1929 in Duluth, Minnesota, he was the son of the late Joseph and Mildred Gibson.
Bob was the Chief Financial Officer of an insurance company and after retirement he served on several community activity membership boards. He was a member of the United Methodist Church of Sun City Center where he was the church treasurer and on the finance committee. Bob’s favorite pastimes were golf, cruising and Disney.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Lolita Ann Gibson; two daughters, Kathleen Gibson and husband Bjarni Thorsteinsson of Lafayette, Calif., and Teri Fountain and her husband Christopher Fountain or Jacksonville, Fla.; a sister Charlotte Hockin of Hoyt Lakes, Minn. and brother Donald Gibson of Duluth, Minn.; two grandchildren, Robert (JoAnna) and Austin (Melissa) and three great-grandchildren.
