William Irvin Pritchard, Jr.
William (Bill) Pritchard, Jr., 66, passed away June 2, 2017.
He was born July 13, 1950 in Ruskin, Florida to the late William Sr. and Ruth Mabel (Hykes) Pritchard. Bill knew and accepted Jesus Christ as his personal savior.
He was a lifelong resident of Ruskin and had many a friend and many tales to tell. He was a true Florida Cracker and knew every back road in the state. Bill worked for Parker Glass and Door for over 25 years.
Although he could not play a lick, he was a true lover of music. He could easily name that tune and who it was by. His musical taste varied, and depending on the moment, he could find the perfect song to fit. He totally enjoyed listening to the late Jim Morris and his new local favorite, Ben Meyer.
He loved riding his Harley. He called them his “Happy Rides.”
Bill’s way to relax was leaving all troubles on the dock and floating down the beautiful Little Manatee River in his pontoon boat with his gal Marla and their Little Gilligan. He would pop in a CD and would be in another world.
Left to cherish his memory are his fiancée, Marla Miller; daughter, Rebecca Bundy; son, William J. Pritchard; brother, John Pritchard of Tampa; sister, Mary Myers of South Carolina; grandchildren, Kyle Bundy and Skyler Pritchard; great-grandson, Noah Bundy; step-daughters, Dee Fluegee of Wisconsin and Michelle Alhagy of Tampa; and his many, many friends.
There will be a celebration of Bill’s life for friends and family on July 22nd at his and Marla’s home on the river starting at 2 p.m., on the outgoing tide.
