First and foremost, thank you for visiting the online edition of The Observer News.
Beginning this week, the web update for our newspapers will take place on Thursday afternoon rather than on Wednesday evening. This change will allow the readers of all four editions of The Observer to receive their printed newspapers before the website is updated.
Our website will continue to publish our bylined articles, content that is available nowhere else, columns and any last minute news important to our readership. The PDF version of each edition of the full newspapers will remain available. Improvements are planned to make that easier to use — on both desktop and mobile devices.
Additionally, Observer Today, a new daily feature provided each weekday morning, will continue and more daily content will be added. We are the largest community newspaper in the south metro area and we sincerely appreciate that your need for information may not always fit our press schedule.
All that said, the majority of content will remain in our print editions. That is how we keep the doors open, of course.
We sincerely appreciate your readership. We are growing by the month and we do not take any of that for granted. Our growth is only inspiring us to work harder to better serve you and our advertisers.
If you have any questions, concerns or comments, please don’t hesitate to email me by clicking here. I do hope to hear from you.
We are the original Observer News — next year we will celebrate 60 years in our communities. Putting our readers first is how we best serve both you and our advertisers. On the latter, please do tell our advertisers that you “saw it in the Observer News.” We would be grateful.
From all of us at the Observer News Publications, thank you. Please look for our full update on Thursday and come back every day as we increase our daily content.
Sincerely,
Mitch Traphagen
