Robert George Baker
Robert George Baker grew up in Kansas. He married at age 22 and had a daughter, Rusti, and a son, Chris. Later, he married Barbara (Chapman) Baker with whom he had a daughter, Caroline, and a son, Armand.
He was very selfless, putting his wife first in everything, and they enjoyed a joyous life together. His children all saw him as a hardworking, generous, loving man who always kept their best interests first. He taught his children by illustrating a good example and showing them good values, morals and a hard work ethic.
Bob and his wife and two children resided in Ruskin in a beautiful home that they designed and built together, in which he took great pride. He traveled across the world doing work he loved in the HVAC and indoor air quality business. While traveling he made many lifelong friends.
On January 20, 2016, he passed comfortably in his home after going to sleep. He was an amazing man. He had a wonderful life, and he will be greatly missed by many. The world lost a great guy. He is in a better place. His presence is gone but his strong spirit will remain deep in our hearts forever.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2 p.m. April 30 at Calvary Lutheran Church on U.S. 41 in Apollo Beach.
