What was once a reunion of adopted pets from C.A.R.E., the Critter Adoption and Rescue Effort in Ruskin, has evolved into the Boo Bash, one of the 501(c)3 nonprofit animal rescue facility’s biggest fundraisers of the year.

The event, held on Saturday, included vendor displays, a bake sale, scavenger hunt, pet portraits, a dog costume contest and off-leash play time.

C.A.R.E. is a no-kill shelter for both dogs and cats. For more information, visit
