Frances Rosalie Bye
Frances Rosalie Bye, born Frances Wilzback on November 16, 1921, in Lynbrook, N.Y., passed into the care and protection of our Lord on Friday, April 17, while lovingly attended by members of her family. Fran was 93 and died of natural causes.
She was predeceased by parents Conrad and Frances Wilzback; brother Conrad Wilzback; and husband Victor Bye.
She is survived by sister Gladys Marino; daughters Frances Murphy and Carol Newcomb; and sons Daniel Rooney and Victor Bye. Frances is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
A celebration of Frances’ life is planned for Saturday, May 23, at 3 p.m. at Calvary Lutheran Church, 5309 U.S. 41 N., Apollo Beach, Fla. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Calvary Lutheran Church in Frances’ name.

Paul P. Camelio Jr.
Paul P. Camelio Jr., 85, of Sun City Center, passed away on May 13, 2015.
Born in Norwood, Mass., Paul was preceded in death by his father, Paul P. Camelio Sr., and Lillian (Potenza) Camelio.
He leaves to cherish his memories his wife and best friend, Joan (Sparrow) Camelio; children Jeanne Marie, Paul J. (Noemi), Michael A. (Jackie) and John S. (Patti); 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
He served proudly in the Marine Corps for four years as a Staff Sergeant. He retired from Gillette Co. as a manager of five different departments. He lived his life to the fullest as a private pilot and licensed captain.
He was a genuinely warm-hearted man who gave generously of his time to his friends, neighbors and community.
A Memorial Mass was held May 18, 2015 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, Wimauma, Fla., and interment will take place at Knollwood Cemetery, Canton, Mass.

Joan Frances Emmrich
Joan Frances Emmrich, 80, passed away on May 15, 2015, at Sun City Center Hospice House, Ruskin, Fla. She was born September 24, 1934 in Far Rockaway, N.Y. She is survived by her husband Gerry, stepsons Stuart and Kevin, and granddaughter Kelly.
Joan was a surgical nurse for 32 years, serving at Nassau County Medical Center and South Nassau Communities Hospital. Her last 15 years were spent teaching Surgical Technology at Nassau Community College.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, May 22, at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, Sun City Center, Fla.

Norma Louise Haldeman
Norma Louise (Coe) Haldeman, 97, of Sun City Center, Fla., passed away on May 9, 2015, of age-related causes. Norma was born April 4, 1918, in Sidney, N.Y., to Alex and Lena (Robinson) Coe. She grew up in Sidney, where she graduated from Sidney High School. She was married to Earl Haldeman Jr., who preceded her in death.
Norma resided for many years in Troy, N.Y., where she and her husband’s family owned Haldeman’s Jewelry store, and she worked in the insurance field. She enjoyed her retirement in Florida, which included many friends, bridge, lawn bowling, traveling and walking. She was a member of United Church of Christ.
Norma was predeceased by her parents; her husband Earl Haldeman Jr.; sisters Esther and Mary; and brothers Bob, Dick and Claude.
Norma is survived by several nieces and nephews; great-nieces and -nephews; and great-great-nieces and -nephews. She will also be fondly remembered by her caregivers at Home Alternative and Cypress Creek Assisted Living, who provided her with much loving care in her final years.
The family would like to express our appreciation to each of her caretakers, and to Marty Gifford and the Guardianship organization, who spent countless hours assuring “Aunt Norma” was well cared for in her final years.
Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association. No services are planned.
Mary Faber ‘Muff’ Hall
Mary Faber (Muff) Hall, 87, died peacefully in Illinois on Tuesday, May 12, 2015, with her daughters and dog by her side. She was the beloved wife of the late Robert T. Hall.
Born on May 3, 1928, in Cleveland, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Lester and Ethel Bonney Faber. She raised her children and supported her family while living in New London, Conn., Pawtucket, R.I., Huntington Station, N.Y., and Sun City Center, Fla., where she lived for more than 15 years. She was an enthusiastic tennis and bridge player, but what she loved most was a bargain. She was an avid “garage-saler” and she and Holly, her dog, attended many sales in the Sun City Center area.
Muff is survived by her four children: Bonney H. Pope and husband Jack of Lake Forest, Ill.; Robert T. Hall Jr. and wife Josephine of Trumbull, Conn.; William B. Hall and wife Judith of Portsmouth, R.I.; and Elizabeth C. Murray and husband Rob of Barrington, Ill. She is also survived by nine grandchildren.
Muff was a 1946 graduate of Radnor High School in Wayne, Pa., and a 1948 graduate of Vermont Junior College in Montpelier, Vt.
Muff was dearly loved by her friends and family, and will be greatly missed. A private memorial service will be held at a future date in Sun City Center. Joanna R. Smiley
Joanna R. Smiley, 89, of Sun City Center passed away peacefully surrounded by a few members of her loving family on Tuesday, May 5, 2015, at Aston Gardens Assisted Living Facility in Sun City Center.
She was primarily a homemaker but also helped her husband with clerical work for his insurance company.
Born in Martinsville, Ind., on March 10,1926, she was raised and educated in Michigan, where she met Warren Smiley on a blind date. They married on May 22,1942. They had six children, and were married for 57 years.
Her greatest source of pride was her family. She was fun-loving, spirited, kind-hearted and loved all animals. She enjoyed dancing, all types of music, playing the organ and any activity that involved her family. She was a fabulous cook and enjoyed preparing homecooked meals for family get-togethers.
A faithful member of the Jehovah’s Witnesses, she was baptized in November 1962. In 1955, they moved from Michigan to Fort Lauderdale, and then moved to and lived in Winter Haven from 1968 to 1974. She lived in the Apollo Beach / Sun City Center area from 1974 to the present.
She was preceded in death by daughter Sharon Lee Goff in 1985; grandson Richard M. Smiley in 1999; son Randolph Lewis Smiley in 1999; and husband Warren G. Smiley Sr. in 2000. She is survived by sons Warren G. Smiley Jr. of Fort Lauderdale; Gary L. Smiley of Valrico; James D. Smiley of Lakeland; and daughter Carol Pompilio of Rainbow Springs. She had 17 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 23, 2015, at 4:30 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 11725 Symmes Road, Riverview, Fla. Inurnment will be a private family service at Lauderdale Memorial Park at a future time.
Linda Swift
Linda Swift of Sun City Center, Fla., went to rest with the Lord on May 7, 2015, following a lengthy struggle with ALS.
