Spirited seniors strut their stuff with music, dance, comedy
In a sold-out show on Saturday night, April 18, Valencia Lakes Stars on Stage entertained a delighted audience with vocal solos, comedy skits, ballroom dancing and musical performances on piano, guitar, trumpet and drums.
Emcee Louise Ferla opened the show with her rendition of It Had to be You; followed by the Southshore Cruisers Band doing a rockin’ musical set; a comedy routine by the Storybook Players called the Wimauma Rappers; Ger’s Canned Jam with a vocal and trumpet solo; and Scott and Linda Allen with a comedy skit called There’s a Hole in my Bucket.
The Brat Pack did a musical skit called Be Kind to Your Parents, while the Fabulous Y-Mamas performed a dance routine entitled Lady Marmalade. With solo performances by Larry Whitehead and Linda Allen, plus dance performances by Mary Jane Otani and George Hawn, the 2015 annual Valencia Lakes Variety Show was an undeniable hit.
