For more than 30 years the volunteer membership of the International Independent Showmen’s Association has presented a giant circus under the big top to benefit local charities. This year’s show on Saturday, Jan. 10, should prove to be one of the biggest yet, featuring elephants, clowns, aerialists and a giant live circus band. Camel and elephant rides will also be available before each show.
The Showmen’s Charity Circus runs one day only at the Showmen’s Event Center, 6915 Riverview Drive, in Gibsonton. Show times are 1, 4 and 7 p.m.
Tickets are $10 if purchased in advance, and $12 on show day. Children 12 and under are admitted free when accompanied by a paying adult.
Advance tickets are available at the Showmen’s Club (address is above) or at The SCC Observer office and M&M Printing, 210 Woodland Estates Ave. SW, Ruskin.
