Is it really about communism?
Dear Editor,
How much longer are we going to be held hostage by the Cuban community in Miami?
Think about it. We don’t deal with Cuba because it is a communist country and has a horrible human rights record. But we deal with China. China is a communist country with an abysmal human rights record.
What’s the difference? I think we all know the answer to that: politics. The Chinese-American vote is minuscule compared to the Cuban-American vote, and every single politician of any party wants the Cuban vote — it’s as simple as that. How much longer are we going to allow hypocrisy [to] run our country?
