Lightning struck the Sun City Center Plaza at noon July 16 as business members were entering the Greater Sun City Center Chamber of Commerce for their weekly “Exchange” luncheon. About 15 members were already inside the building when lightning blew out the electrical box on the side of the building, said the Chamber’s executive director Dana Dittmar as she and Jennifer Petit and Cedrick Wilson of Servicemaster Inc., went outside to look.
