The Lennard High School Longhorns basketball team is on its way to the 6A state semifinals after a 74-63 victory over Lehigh High School last Saturday. The team will play Lake Minneola at 4 p.m. at the Lakeland Center Friday, Feb. 28. If they prevail, they’ll be in the 6A state championship game Saturday, March 1.
Under the direction of head coach Danny Gaddis, the Longhorns have been this year’s Cinderella team, finishing the season at 25-4. This will be the school’s first-ever final four appearance.
The championship games will be live on Bright House Sports Network Channel 47 and HD 1147.
