Did you have to cook for a big family on Thanksgiving this year? The crew at Beanie’s Sports Bar in Ruskin knows how you feel — they were up early on Thanksgiving morning cooking for their extended family.
Beanie’s delivered 900 Thanksgiving meals to three area churches on Thanksgiving Day. Many of the recipients of their generosity would otherwise have been alone this Thanksgiving.
When asked if he’d like his photo taken for the newspaper, Beanie just smiled and said no. “I don’t do this for the publicity,” he added.
For those of us with so much to be thankful for, perhaps it would be fitting to add one more: stopping by to thank a selfless man for making this community a better place to live.
