Colleagues, students, fellow actors, and devoted audience members, as well as family and friends will join together this Sunday to commemorate one exceptional man’s amazing life. Love and Laughter will celebrate the life of Daron Hawkins, Riverview High School’s drama teacher, Florida State thespian director and founder of the Riverview Little Theater.
The event, on Sunday, Nov. 24 at the Riverview High School Auditorium, 11311 Boyette Rd. in Riverview, will begin with a reception from 5:30 -6:45 p.m. The Love and Laughter celebration will start at 7 p.m.
Singers, dancers, actors and colleagues will pay tribute to this special man in true Broadway fashion. Songs and dances are being rehearsed. Lights are being adjusted and microphones fitted. Monologues and creative tributes are being written. This multi-talented cast of local and national performers will be on hand to honor a man dedicated to the arts.
The public is invited and encouraged to attend. Even if you didn’t know Daron Hawkins personally, go to show your support for live theater and everything that one man did to make this world a better, more creative place to live.
