Roy G. Berglund
Roy G. Berglund, 92, died August 12, 2013. He lived in Sun City Center, Fla. for the last 28 years and recently moved to Brighton Gardens in Tampa.
He is survived by daughter Lorna Sutton of Derby Kan.; son Donald (Judy); daughter Jackie Freeman (Earl) of San Diego, Calif.; son-in-law Wayne Pederson; and grandchildren Erik Pederson, Roy (Lindsay) Pederson, Britta Pederson, Greg Sutton, Geoff Sutton, Chris Freeman, Tanya Freeman and Cindy Freeman.
He was preceded in death by wife Loris, daughter Roylene Pederson, son-in-law Lynn Sutton and parents Esther and Oscar Berglund.
William Heron
William (Bill) Heron, 86, of Sun City Center, Florida, formerly of Pittsburgh Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 12, 2013 in Florida.
Bill is survived by wife Pat Heron of Sun City Center; sons Bill Maue and his wife Tracy of Ruskin, FL, and Dale Heron and his wife Christa of Annapolis, MD; grandchildren William J. Maue, Michelle Willson, Lisa Maue, Rachael Heron; and five great-grandchildren.
He is also survived by brother Jackie, and sisters Jeanne Patrusch, and Janet Synan. He was preceded in death by brothers Robert and David.
Bill was born in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania, son of Zeke and Blanche Heron. He worked most of his career at the Blawnox Mill and Machinery Company in Pittsburgh, where he started as an apprentice and worked his way to manager of the machine shop and then lead estimator before retirement. Locally, he worked for a short time at the B&M Precision Corporation in Ruskin to stay active in early retirement.
Bill was an avid hunter, mechanic, and skater. He and wife Pat won multiple skating dance titles, and were eight-time Pennsylvania State Champions, eight-time Eastern Regional Champions, and placed in the National Championships before becoming professional instructors.
Bill was an active member of the Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge in Ruskin.
Florence E. Palmer
Florence E. Palmer, 98, of Sun City Center, passed away on Aug. 15, 2013. She was born in Dracut (Lowell), Mass. to Willard and Agnes McCallum. As a child, she and her family moved to South Bend, Ind., and then to West Paterson, N.J., where she met and married the love of her life, Harry Palmer (deceased).
She is survived by their two children, Betty Moore of Sun City Center and Harry Palmer, Jr. of Sun City Center and Callicoon, N.Y.; her beloved sister Lillian Brandes, 100, of Bangor, Maine; three nephews, one daughter-in-law, many loving grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
Florence was a loving Mom and homemaker, a devout born-again Christian, and a lifetime member of the church of the Nazarene.
