Nearly 120 children enjoyed a puppet show with a message at the Firehouse Cultural Center in Ruskin Thursday, Feb. 21. The show was performed by actors from The Creative Arts Theatre of The City of Tampa Parks and Recreation Department and was funded by the Friends of the Tampa Hillsborough County Library System. The Firehouse Cultural Center donated the venue for the performance that had a young frog and snake playing together until their mothers told them they were too different to be friends.
The performance explored lessons on friendship and diversity — and made for many laughs for the children. The program was organized by Julie Troupe, Senior Librarian for Hillsborough County.
