Edith Lillie Reed
Edith Lillie Reed, 95, passed away Dec. 5, 2011 in Fayetteville, GA. She was born on April 18, 1916 in Severville Tenn. She is survived by her three sons, Joseph Dennis Reed, Theodore W. Reed II and Richard Reed; 9 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren.
Services were held on Saturday, Dec. 10 at National Cremation and Burial Society in Ruskin, FL. Her final resting place is next her husband of 52 years, Theodore William Reed in Ruskin Cemetery.
Norman Virgile Houle
Norman Virgile Houle, 89, of Sun City Center, FL passed away in Sun City Center on Monday, November 28. He was born in Lewiston, July 18, 1922, to the late Virgile and Dorothee (Normand) Houle. Educated in local Lewiston schools, Norm attended Bates College and graduated from Bentley University after serving in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Prior to retirement, he was employed at Champoux-Bouvier Insurance. He had been a member of St. Peter’s and Ste Croix parishes and was an active member of the Knights of Columbus.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Lillian Provencher Houle, formerly of Lewiston: two daughters, Linda Quinn and her husband, John, of Lynnfield, Masss, and Jacqueline Stern of West Chester, PA; two granddaughters, Carolyn Quinn Kilmer (Jason) and Kathleen Quinn Murphy (Jerome); four great-grandchildren, Kieran and Emerson Kilmer and Alannah and Logan Murphy; and his brother, Raymond Houle of Madison, Tenn., formerly of Lewiston.
Services were held December 2, 2011 at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, Sun City Center.
Anthony H. “Tony” Sorrentino
Anthony H. “Tony” Sorrentino, 84, of Sun City Center, Fla. passed away December 3, 2011. He served in the U. S. Army during World War II and retired as an independent building contractor in Bridgeport, Connecticut. He will be deeply missed by his friends and neighbors. Mass of the Resurrection was celebrated on Monday, December 12, 2011 at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, Sun City Center, Fla. Burial will be in Ruskin Memorial Park, Ruskin, Fla. George Orenchak
George Orenchak, 86, of Sun City Center, FL, formerly of Butler, PA passed away on Friday, December 2, 2011 at Sun City Center Hospice House with his loving family at his side. Born in Hartford, CT on June 12, 1925 he was a Navy veteran of WWII and retired in 1986 after 41 years of federal service from VAMC, Butler, PA where he worked as a Recreation Therapist. George moved to Sun City Center in August 1996. He was an usher and a greeter at St. Anne Catholic Church in Ruskin. He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years Anna Marie and his five children Marie Antoinette (Toni) Demme (Tom) of Lacey, WA; Dr. Theresa Suzanne Kent (John) of San Antonio, TX; Georgeann Catherine Rossman (Lee) of Seffner, FL; James Michael Orenchak (Claudia) of Riesweiler Germany; and George Gerard Orenchak (Karen) of Mandeville, LA. He is also survived by ten grandchildren: Philip Demme, Elizabeth Demme, Mark Davis, Timothy Kent, Laura Davis, Laurel Orenchak, Kathleen Kent, Meghan Orenchak, Caitlin Orenchak and Michael Kent and five great-children: Riley, Ryan, Adeline, Payton and Sophia. A memorial mass will be celebrated at St. Anne Catholic Church, Ruskin, FL at 11am on Thursday, December 29, 2011. Burial will be at the National Cemetery in Sarasota, FL. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the stained glass window fund at St. Anne Catholic Church, 106 11th Ave. N.E., Ruskin, FL 33570.
