It’s that time again…
when thousands of Bay Area residents come together to celebrate their love of seafood, music and fun for the whole family at the annual Ruskin Seafood Festival, presented by the SouthShore Chamber of Commerce.
Now in its 23rd year, the Ruskin Seafood Festival brings this fun-filled weekend to beautiful E.G. Simmons Park located at 2401 19th Avenue NW in Ruskin, on Saturday and Sunday Nov. 5 and 6.
Every year, festival-goers are given the opportunity to feast on every type of seafood imaginable from all types of fish to award winning clam chowder topped off with other festival favorites. Beer and wine are also available for purchase this year.
Continuous entertainment on the festival stage includes reggae music from Democracy and a special steel drum performance from local schools.
In addition to music and culinary delights, festival participants can enjoy booths showcasing arts and crafts, boats, environmental displays, commercial and non profit exhibits and a health and wellness expo.
The children’s area features a hands-on Home Depot workshop, reverse bungee jumping and visits from pirates and everything “kid” in the Kid’s Fun Land, sponsored by Kids R Kids South Shore.
Festival hours are Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission for adults is $5, children 12 and under are free. Free parking and shuttle service is available.
There is a $2 fee, per carload, to enter E.G. Simmons Park.
