Jeff Romain
Jeff Romain, 40, son of a well-known local housepainter, Ken Romain and his wife, Nan McNamara, R.N., died Oct. 9, 2011 of Huntington’s Disease. Jeff joined Ken and Nan 2years ago in Sun City Center where he enjoyed the kindness of ladies water aerobics, the pool, the neighbors and family.
Jeff left the Detroit area reluctantly because his guardian angel high school teammates were there. He had been well-liked by the guys in the six different sports in which he had participated. he was loved by the ladies for his sweet and gentle ways as well as his good looks.
Huntington’s Disease robbed him of his dexterity but never of his sweetness. He still enjoyed the roller coasters, water parks, action movies and his x-box for as long as he could.
Jeff faced and accepted the limitations of this genetic, terminal, neurological disease with courage. he will be missed by family and friends. His body has been donated to science. A Memorial Service and reception will be held at the home of Ken and Nan, 1615 Bentwood Dr., SCC on Sunday, Oct. 16 from 4-7 p.m. Friends, neighbors, and clients are welcome to celebrate Jeff’s new life in heaven.
