The Ruskin Tomato and Heritage Festival will return, on a new weekend, Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 3 and 4, 2011 at E.G.Simmons County Park in Ruskin. Watch for updates in the next few months or follow the feed on Facebook.
The Festival committee is looking for a few more volunteers to help put on another great festival. If you liked the festival in the past, please consider joining the little band to really make this year’s festival the very best yet! Proceeds earned from these festivals help fund local causes and promote community projects. The Ruskin Tomato and Heritage Festival is a project of the Ruskin Community Development Foundation, Inc., a community non-profit in Ruskin. The RCDF has been involved in many projects in the area for nearly two decades, including the Camp
Bayou Outdoor Learning Center, the boardwalk in Commongood Park, assisted in starting the restoration of Marsh Creek plus several other cleanup and enhancement projects.
