Chester Watters
Chester Watters, 87, of Sun City Center,  Florida passed away on Oct. 17, 2012. He was born on Nov. 3, 1924 in Brandon, Vermont, the son of Euclid S. and Ruth (Churchill) Watters. After graduating from Brandon High School in 1942, he entered military service with the U.S. Army’s elite Ranger Battalion and was transferred to the 104th Timberwolf Division in the European Theater, where he fought with great courage receiving two Bronze Stars for heroic acts and consistently going above and beyond the call of duty. Six months after his honorable discharge, he married Joyce Ann Black on June 1, 1946, with whom he shared 66 wonderful years.

In 1948 he began working for the U.S. Post Office in Brandon, retiring in 1981 after 33 years of service. He and Joyce traveled extensively throughout the United States before settling in Sun City Center.

Chet was actively involved in various branches of Masonry, including Shrine, Scottish Rites, Red Cross of Constantine, Royal Order of Jesters, Past Worthy Patron of Eastern Star, and achieving status of Most Illustrious Grand Master of the Grand Council of Vermont. He also was active in his local town and church affairs.

He is survived by his wife Joyce, two sons, David of Windham, Maine, Donald (Julie) of Bristol, Vermont, two daughters, Linda (Benedict) Dolan of Claremont, New Hampshire and Sue Ann Watters of Goshen, Vermont, two grandchildren, Amanda Ewell and Jason Watters, five great-grand children,  Aiden and Avery Ewell, Hayley, Mackensie and Jayden Watters.

Memorial serviceswere held in Sun City Center on Oct. 23, and will be in Brandon, Vermont, date pending.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Shriners Children’s Hospital or a charity of your choice. Arrangements by Sun City Center Funeral Home.


Judith Lemieux Yeatman
Judith (Judi) Lemieux Yeatman, 63, of Sun City Center, FL, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, Oct. 11, 2012.

Judi was born Nov. 15, 1948 in Boston, MA. Judi worked in the business office of the Southbay Outpatient Diagnostic and Rehab department in Sun City Center. Judi is survived by her husband Lawrence (Skip), of Sun City Center, FL; five children - Kim Wong of Bradenton, FL; Kerri Myers of Mt Airy, NC; Roger Martin of Waterford, CA; Karen Spillman of Odessa, FL; and Tammy Bird of Westminster, CO; four stepchildren – Lawrence Yeatman II of Ruskin, FL; Russell Yeatman of Ruskin, FL; Arthur Yeatman of OH; and Clifton Yeatman of Ruskin, FL; along with 23 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.  She is also survived by siblings Richard Lemieux of Brockton, MA; Janet Crowley of Quincy, MA; Robert Lemieux of Meredith, NH; and Barbara Harold of Hyde Park, MA; as well as an army of cousins, nieces and nephews and friends.

A Memorial Service will be held at Sun City Christian Center, 17566 U.S. Hwy. 301 South, Wimauma, FL at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 28, 2012. A gathering will follow at the Bayou Pass - Dorothy Duke Community Center, 2203 Dorothy Duke Dr., Ruskin, Florida.
