TIBERIO, Lucille J.

tiberioLucille J. Tiberio, 89 of Ruskin, Fla was received in the arms of her Savior, Jesus Christ 6:42 a.m. Saturday, February 5, 2011 at Sun City Center Hospice House, Ruskin, Fla. with her loving husband, family members and friends present. She had been battling Alzheimer disease for several years.
She was born on January 16, 1922 in Colquitt, Georgia (Miller County) to Elton and Carrie Johnson. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her only sibling, Elton “Bully” Johnson; her cousin, Mary Lee; nephew, Jim Johnson; her first husband, William Tabb and the love of her life, son, Donald L. Tabb. She is survived by her husband of 35 years, Bob Tiberio; her nephew, Keith Johnson, and his wife, Jeannie, and their son, Kyle; a daughter-in-law, Ella K. Tabb, and niece, Jessica Johnson, and her friends, Kate and Tina Russo.
Visitation will be Saturday, February 12, 2011 from 11:00 a.m. until time of service at the church. Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, February 12, 2011 at the First Baptist Church of Ruskin, 820 College Avenue, Ruskin, Fla. Burial will follow at Ruskin Memorial Park. The family requests memorials to the Alzheimer Foundation or the First Baptist Church of Ruskin.




Loda Overton, 93, of Sevierville, TN, passed away Friday, January 21, 2011. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Sevierville and a former member of Trinity Baptist Church in Sun City Center, FL and First Baptist Church in Lake Wales, FL. She was a Past Worthy Matron of the Eastern Star in Lake Wales, FL, and a former member of the Christian Women’s Organization and the “Scarlett’s Red Hatters.” While living in Sun City Center, FL, her activities included serving as a volunteer for approximately 10 years with the South Bay Hospital and volunteering for the “Nearly New Shop” and the “Sawdust Engineers.”
She was born May 1, 1917 to the late Henry Perry and Nancy Elizabeth Durrance, and she was also preceded in death by her husband Jesse Overton; son, Roy Clifton Skinner; grandson, William Roy Bohannon, and eleven siblings.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Judy and William George Bohannon; 8 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be sent in Loda Overton’s memory to Gideon Bibles.
A memorial service will be held 2:00 PM, February 10, 2011 at Trinity Baptist Church in Sun City Center, Florida. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.marionnelsonfuneralhome.com.

KOON, Karen S.


Karen S. Koon passed away on Monday, January 31 at age 52. She lived in Riverview FL for 23 years and was an LPN. Highest level of education was Associates degree. She was born in London, England and was preceeded in death by her mother Mary C. Stephens.
Survived by her sons, Kevin Bannon and Ryan Bannon; daughter, Meagen Bannon; father David M. Stephens and step-mother Barbara Stephens.
Services were held Saturday,  February 5, 2011 at Hillsboro Memorial Gardens in Brandon. In lieu of flowers please make a donation in her honor to Moffit Cancer Center.

FROCK, Colonel (Ret.) Charles F.

Colonel-FrockColonel (Ret.) Charles F. Frock US Army, died February 1, 2011 at Sun City Center, FL.
He was born in Littlestown, PA, on June 24, 1919, to Charles Michael and Anastatia Helen Frock and was graduated from Littlestown High School in 1937. After completing the CMTC (Citizens Military Training Camp) 4-year course, he was commissioned a Second Lieutenant in the Infantry Reserve in 1938 and attended Gettysburg College for 3 years where he studied Industrial Chemistry as his major. In 1940 he was appointed to the United States Military Academy at West Point, NY and was graduated on June 6, 1944 with a degree in Bachelor of Science and a commission in the Regular Army. On this date he married Catharine Eloise Knippel from Hanover, PA.
He is survived by his wife, Nathalie Marie Frock; two daughters: Susan Revelle of Salisbury, MD, and Sally Walsh of Bennett, CO; four grandchildren; one great grandson and three great granddaughters; two step-daughters; five step-grandchildren; 10 step-great-grandchildren.
The burial was held at The Florida National Cemetery.  Donations can be made in his memory to the American Diabetes Association at P.O. Box 11454 – Alexandra, VA  22312


Les Carlson, 83, passed away on January 31, 2011. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Mary Lou; daughter, Lynn, and her husband, Tom; grandchildren, TJ and Kristi. Les enjoyed his work and the many friends he made at Publix. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. The family wishes to thank the “green team” of LifePath Hospice for all of the care and support they provided. By his request, no service will be held.
