Artists Celso Gonzalez and Roberto Biaggi, pictured at far left in the photo, led groups of volunteers in the creation of a mosaic mural on an exterior wall of the Firehouse Cultural Center building in Ruskin. Gonzalez and Biaggi are known for their extraordinary public art projects in North America and Puerto Rico. The three-day construction workshop began April 1, and the unveiling of the finished project was last Saturday. The mural project involved residents of all ages in the making of the community mosaic.
