The Sun City Center FunFest brought out between 7,000 and 8,000 people on Saturday, March 15, as the clubs and organizations and some businesses showed visitors what they were all about.

Sun City Center Community Association Board members say the association does not make any money off the annual event, but the clubs sell their handmade wares, enabling them to buy supplies and operate for the next year. Everything from pottery to handmade jewelry, and from ceramics to carvings were displayed at the daylong event.

Opening remarks included a welcoming talk by Susan Muise, event chairwoman, and an American Legion presentation of the colors. Jane Keegan, association president, also spoke. There was plenty of music of all kinds and also a variety of food.
