According to Alpha Pizza owner Nick Egarhos, this year’s Alpha Pizza Idol event was the closest finish ever, with talented singer Eva Peake taking top honors and the $500 prize after a sing-off with  Seth Alderman. “Eva prevailed but it was very close,” Egarhos said.

According to his fans, 15-year-old Alderman, pictured below, has a voice and a stage presence with a maturity far beyond his relatively few years, singing the oldies from the likes of Sinatra. He proved that and more on Saturday in Apollo Beach, taking second place and a $250 prize.

Rounding out the finalists from the Friday night competition were Jeff Smith winning third place and $125, Andrea Paxton taking fourth place and a $25 gift certificate and Tony DuPont winning fifth place and a $25 gift certificate.

Karaoke was provided by Tito & Debi (www.tito-debi-karaoke.com).
