Unless you live in a (blissfully cool) cave, you know that it is August and in Florida that means it’s hot outside. In fact, the weather forecast between now and mid-September is a relatively simple matter: it will be in the low to mid 90s during the day and mid to upper 70s at night. While there may be no way to escape the heat, short of traveling to the upper reaches of our neighbor to the north (Canada, not Georgia — it’s hot in Georgia, too), there are things you can do to mitigate it. One of the best ways is through the liberal consumption of ice cream.  Kimi’s Ice Cream and Sweets, located at 143 Harbor Village Lane, in the Sweet Bay Plaza in Apollo Beach is well stocked with the cold, heat-busting elixir, along with shakes, smoothies and a vast selection of candies.
