Wild Things roam Glazer Children's Museum

Dozens of children and their parents were able to channel their inner Max last weekend as the Glazer Children’s Museum in Tampa brought some of the characters of Maurice Sendak’s Where the Wild Things Are to life, earning hugs, high fives and some good old fashioned wild thing fun.
The 1963 book has sold more than 19 million copies worldwide. The museum offered children hats similar to that worn by Max during the time he joined the wild things in temporarily becoming a wolf (I wanted to, but didn’t, ask if the hats were also available to adults).
The Glazer Children’s Museum offers a near-endless array of exhibits and activities for both children and parents. Coming up this weekend is the Back to School Fair with speakers, workshops, crafts, balloon art and more. The museum is located at 110 W Gasparilla Plaza in Tampa.
