The Mary and Martha House is a Ruskin-based emergency and transitional shelter for homeless and abused women and their children. In addition to their core mission of providing a safe haven to women and children in danger and in need, the Mary and Martha House also offers a wide variety of educational and job-assistance services. The 501(c)(3) non-profit organization depends entirely upon the generosity of area businesses and organizations. It is the only such shelter in South Hillsborough.
