In SCC, Honoring Veterans on Memorial Day

Sun City Center observed memorial day with the traditional ceremony held at the Borini Theater at Kings Point on Monday.  The event included reading the names of veterans who had passed away over the past year, with volunteers from the community’s veterans organizations, churches and the Sun City Center Rescue Squad standing in their honor.  The ceremony also included a musical tribute to the military services by the Trinity Baptist Church Choir, directed by Rev. James Feist.  The East Bay High School Junior ROTC provided the honor guard and Ruskin Boy Scout Troop 601 placed a wreath at the flagpole outside of the auditorium.
