In the March 13th issue, the unusual perspective of The Firefighter by Harrison Covington was made possible by Captain Michael Sciuga, Bill Cobb, and Danny Alvarez of Hillsborough County Fire Rescue Station 28 on Highway 674 in Sun City Center.  These dedicated men provide protection and life saving services throughout south Hillsborough County.   I happened along during their daily routine and was given an opportunity I won’t soon forget.

First on the scene with correct guesses are Larry and Joyce Goslin, Roz Bressler (it’s beautiful from 30 feet in the air too), Nancy Dewilde, Shirley Arnold, and Ann Guiles (I can’t give away all my secrets).  Lined up in the bucket brigade we have Sam Baldwin, Don Rains, Debra Niles, Claudia Alvarez-Lang (thanks), Gay Ray (no roof tops or flying, just good timing), John L. Leonard and Dan Bergschneider.  Counting the spots on the Dalmatian are Barbara Elliott, Priscilla Chase (I love a good story, do tell), Joe Eletto, Cynthia Winston (thanks for writing in, keep it coming), James “Fish” Bass (any good fish stories lately?), Michele Brennan (top secret stuff), Marie Burg, Jason Simmons and Juanita Sehorne (I’m sorry to hear that, I’ll keep my fingers crossed).

Spilling over the top of the flood gauge from three weeks ago are Mara Nivens, Merrick A. Endres, Barbara Elliott and Cliff Stevenson.  Anne Perkins also recognized the flood gauge and canoe sign (sorry for the omission).

Whoo, whoo!  Where in South Hillsborough is this?  Send your guess or spring planting tips to 210 Woodland Estates Avenue S.W., Ruskin, FL 33570 or email where@observernews.net.
