Sweet Fragrance of Orange Blossoms

The other evening I stopped in Sebring to catch a short nap. The weather was pleasant with a light breeze, so I opened the windows, laid down and slept about an hour.

As I laid my head on the pillow a light breeze delivered the sweet fragrance of orange blossoms into my sleeper. What a welcome smell after a day of driving. The hectic day that was behind me didn’t seem so bad in retrospect. The orange blossoms had filled my mind with peace and comfort.

I had forgotten how nature could turn my mood around, only with that sweet smell. When it was time to resume my travel, I reluctantly rolled up my windows, started the truck and began my journey home. Revitalized by the short nap and the pleasant smells, my evening seemed to go much better.

I was reminded that we often forget about the little things that can really enhance our lives. Nature offers us so many things that I have come to take for granted. A spring evening brings it all back into perspective for me.

Spring is here and there are many opportunities to enjoy many different smells and sights. I plan to spend some time on my motorcycle cruising about, looking for more blessings of nature to enjoy.

I encourage all of you to spend some time looking for the gentle things that nature has to share. It will bring life into perspective and maybe even bring your blood pressure down.

Easter is the time of new beginnings; let us begin with enjoying the “View From The Road”  that God has so generously given.
