The Art Club of Sun City Center held their 43rd Annual Art Show
January 28-30. Beginners and those new to art show competition were
given a chance to show off their best skills against artists
of similar ranking.

Instructors Cynthia Wortmann, Susan Pressman, Don Nathan,
Roberta Snyder, Tom Haverfield, Virginia Laudano and Ganior Roberts exhibited
their artwork, but did not compete in the show.

Renowned Florida artists Terry Smith and Bob McPinespie served as judges. In addition to a variety of rankings including beginner, intermediate, advanced and master that separated artists' skill levels, the art was divided into different medium categories that included oil/acrylic, water media, pstel, mixed media, small painting and drawing.

“Eureka Springs Lilies “ by Mary Underwood won Best of Show title in the master water media division.

Artist John Breaugh reminisces in his beginner oil/acrylic painting titled “Michigan Barn.”

Joan Sullivan’s advanced oil/acrylic entry carries the title “NY 3328.”

Intermediate oil/acrylic painting by Mary F. Underwood is named “Grandma’s Porch.”

SCC resident Margaret Zinchuk examines Marcia Hansen’s “Orange Slices One” and “Orange Slices Two” both entered in the advanced pastel category.
