Saturday, Nov. 21
 Experience 11th century England
at the Sarasota Medieval Fair
November 21-22 from 10 a.m. to
6 p.m. at the Sarasota
Fairgrounds (3000
Ringling Blvd.).
There will be
over 100 craft,
food and game vend
o r s as well as a full lineup of
14 stages presenting tournaments,
feasts and performances. For more
information call 1-888-303-FAIR.
Admission is $15 for adults and
$13 for seniors/ students.

 Repticon is sponsoring the
Florida International Reptile Show
November 21-22 from 10am to
5pm at the Manatee Convention
Center at 1 Haben Blvd. in Palmetto
off US Highway 41 South.
The cost is $8 for adults and $5 for
children.
Make it a day out in St. Pete with
the kids or grandkids

 Dilly Dally with Dali at the
Dali Museum starting at 11:45am.
Included in the admission price
($15 for adults, $13.50 for seniors,
$10 for kids ages 10-18, $4 for
kids ages 5-9 and children 4 and
under free), are fun games and
craft activities designed to educate
and encourage family interaction.

 Only five minutes from the
Dali Museum is the St. Pete Pier.
There is a multitude of entertainment
and dining options for the
entire family to enjoy before the
evening begins.

 Finally, after a busy day, relax
with the event Family Flicks!
Movies on the Waterfront put on
by the St. Pete Pier. “The Velveteen
Rabbit” begins at dusk in the
Waterside Courtyard. This event is
free, but don’t forget your pillow
and a blanket or chair.

 On Saturday November 21,
from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., top teams
of cooks will come from all over
the country to Plant City for the
7th Annual Plant City Pig Jam
State BBQ Championship at 1500
South Park Road in Plant City.
About 70 teams will be competing
for $15,000 in cash and prizes
for the best tasting BBQ out there!
Taste delicious, slow-cooked barbeque
ribs, pork, beef brisket and
chicken. Get the inside scoop on
BBQ tips and grilling techniques
from the cooks themselves. Admission
is free.

Sunday, Nov. 22
 Weeki Wachee Springs hosts
the 36th annual juried
art, fine crafts and
country crafts
show. The event
features artworks
b y more than 65 artists,
live music, food, a juried student
art show and children’s activity
area. The $4 admission price includes
all Weeki Wachee attractions,
including mermaid show,
river cruise and animal show.
n Opening in the Tampa Bay
History Center’s new third-floor,
2,000-square-foot gallery, the
“Florida Cattle Ranching: Five
Centuries of Tradition” exhibition,
chronicles the history and culture
of one of Florida’s oldest industries.
Southern pioneers, Florida
“Crackers” and Florida Seminoles
all play a part in Florida’s ranching
legacy, which began when Spanish
explorers brought cattle and horses
to Florida in the 16th century.
This exhibit features oral histories,
Florida folk music, cowboy art and
documentary footage.The Tampa
Bay History Center is located at
801 Old Water Street (formerly St.
Pete Times Forum Drive) and is
open from 10am to 5pm. Admission
ranges from $12 to $7.
