Barbara Fauser
Barbara Fauser, 81, passed away on August 12, 2009 in Tampa. She was born on March 21, 1928 in Buffalo, NY and attended the Kenmore, NY school system. She took evening courses at Erie County Community College. Barbara worked at Roswell Park Memorial Hospital for 30 years and became active in the New York statewide Union, CSEA, Civil Services Employees Association Inc. She was elected Western Region Union Treasurer for 7 years and was the first woman elected Statewide Treasurer in 1982 and 1984. Barbara retired in October 1986 and moved to Apollo Beach, with her mother Lina Fauser and aunt Paula Cameron; she was their devoted caregiver for 16 years.
