Onofrio Esposito

Onofrio Esposito, 68, of Riverview, passed away on Feb. 16, 2008, surrounded by his loving family.

Onofrio moved to the Riverview area from New York nineteen years ago. He was the owner of the San Remo ­Pizze­ria in Apollo Beach. He is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Rosa; one son, Peter Esposito; two daughters, ­Deborah Boyd, and Diana Clark; two grandchildren, Ysabella and Ethan; four brothers and one sister, and many other family members and friends. Gertrude Elizabeth “­Betty” Goodrich

Gertrude Elizabeth “Betty” Goodrich, 83, passed away on Feb. 7, 2008, at the Arbors at Homewood Residence. She was born to Ruth and Herbert Baggett in Bartow, FL.

She was predeceased by her first husband, Bernard L. Haywood; stepson, Donald Haywood; and spouse, ­Joseph E. Martin of Sun City ­Center. She is survived by the children of ­Louis E. Goodrich, whom she married in 1977.


A celebration of Betty’s life will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 28 at the Homewood Residence. ­Memorials should be made to Lifepath Hospice.


Arrangements were under the direc­tion of Zipperer’s Funeral Home, Ruskin.


Paul Peter Lacusta

Paul Peter Lacusta, 78, of Sun City Center, Fla passed away February 24, 2008. He served in the U.S. Army and retired from Spartan Foods.

Survivors include his wife, Lorraine; a son, Michael; a daughter, Deborah; two granddaughters, Megan and Michelle; and a brother, Mike.

A gathering was held Tuesday, February 26, 2008 at Sun City Center Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held at a later date in Michigan.


Arrangements were by Sun City Center Funeral Home, Sun City Center.


Olivia Luera
Olivia Luera, 67,  of Ruskin, passed away February 22, 2008.

She was born on November 29, 1941 in Los Fresnos, Texas.


She is survived by her children Gracie Rodriguez, Rosa Cantu, Jose R. Luera, Armando Luera, Diana Ramirez; and Steve Best and her brother Cleto Suarez, Jr.; sister, Emilia Best; her mother, Juana Martinez and father, Cleto Suarez, Sr. She had 15 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.

Services were held February 25, 2008 at Vision for the Nations Church in Riverview. Internment was at Ruskin Memorial Park.

Arrangements were made by Zipperer’s Funeral Home in Ruskin.


John K. Mallon
John K. Mallon, 80, of Ruskin, Fla passed away February 23, 2008. He retired from the U.S. Navy after 24 years of service. He was a member of the V.F.W. and the Fleet Reserve Association. He was preceded in death by five brothers, Michael, James, William, Ray and Thomas Mallon and his sister, Mary Reuter. Survivors include his wife, Virginia “Jenny”, a daughter, Assunta Mallon and three nieces and their families.

The family will receive friends from 5:30 p.m. Saturday, March 1, 2008 until time of service at the funeral home. A memorial service will be conducted at 6 p.m. Saturday, March 1, 2008 at Sun City Center Funeral Home, 1851 Rickenbacker Drive, Sun City Center, Fla.

Arrangements were by Sun City Center Funeral Home, Sun City Center.


Judith Moss

Judith Moss, 56, passed away on Feb. 13, 2008, at her residence in Charlotte, NC.
She was born in Mt. Vernon, NY on Dec. 22, 1951 and had early aspirations about becoming a Rabbi, but chose a more secular path by earning a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Pennsylvania State University and a Master of Science in Library ­Science from the University of Pittsburgh. She worked for 19 years in Pittsburgh for Allegheny County and ten years for Arthur’s Wine Shop in Charlotte.

She is survived by her husband of twenty-five years, Kevin Stitt of Charlotte; her parents, Pearl and Melvin Moss of Sun City Center; and a sister, Ellen Biggs of Dallas, TX.


In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice at Charlotte, 1420 East Seventh Street, Charlotte, NC 28204 or the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network (PanCAN), 2141 Rosecrans Avenue, Suite 7000, El Segundo, CA 90245.

Arrangements were in the care of Hankins & Whittington Funeral Service, 1111 East Blvd., Charlotte, NC.
