Dana Lynn Rife
Dana Lynn Rife left this world unexpectedly and prematurely on February 6, 2010 peacefully in her sleep. Dana was a lover of life and living for the moment. She shunned material objects and instead placed value on relationships with her family, many friends and beloved pets.
Dana was born in Chicago, Illinois on Dec. 21, 1959 to Elaine and Ernest McReynolds. She spent her formative years in Evansville, IN. and her later life in sunny Florida. She is preceded in death by her parents and is survived by two siblings, Darlene Shotwell (married to John Shotwell and mother of Robbie, David, Cory and Amber Fisher of Evansville, IN. ) and Daryl McReynolds (previously married to Becky Dill and father of Carl and Kyle McReynolds, also of Evansville, IN.). She has one daughter Michelle Lynn White (formally Cody), of Portland Oregon. Michelle and her husband Randy recently brought Dana a grandchild, Charlotte Ainsley White, born Nov. 13, 2009. Dana visited Charlotte in December and adored her.
Dana also leaves her partner and husband of the last 13 years, Steven Rife of Tampa, Fl and a plethora of loving friends and coworkers from B & M Precision in Ruskin, FL. where she was employed in quality control.
Though Dana has left this earthly plane of existence her spirit lives on in the hearts and memories of all who had the pleasure to know her. In memory of Dana we ask that all who loved her please go online to www.zipperersfuneralhome.com to read more about her life and sign the guestbook. We will cherish any notes of remembrance about Dana and would love to hear about the fun times you had together so that we as the family may reminisce and baby Charlotte will know her grandmother for the wonderful, giving, loving, and very special person she was and continues to be in spirit.
A celebration of Dana’s life was held in Ruskin, FL. at the Moose Lodge (of which she was a member) and will be held in Evansville, Indiana on Saturday February 13 at Turonis Pizza Parlor on Main St. at 2 pm.
