I don’t live too far from the train trestle featured in
last week’s photo. For several weeks when I heard a train, I would
jump in my car and drive quickly (always within the law) to the vantage
spot and shoot some photos.

Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) are a rather recent phenomenon over the last decade. In essence they are aircraft without a pilot sitting in the plane itself. Almost all UAVs in the US military are in-fact still controlled by an operator on the ground using a console.
Last week I wrote about clearing a village in the day time where the majority of people were not suspected to be working with or helping Al Qaeda. A short time after that operation I was afforded the opportunity to go on a mission that was the complete opposite.
