Take Me Out to the Ball Game

We have two member networking events coming up:  On Tuesday, Feb. 19, the SCC Chamber ­Coffee Club will meet at 8 a.m. in the Sun City Center Chamber lobby and board room. All members are invited to come and network; light breakfast snacks, coffee and juice will be served.
 
The Members’ Luncheon will be held from 11:45 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 21 in the Chamber banquet room. ­Sponsored by your Chamber and catered by Suncoast Catering, the menu is chicken ­parmesan, green beans, tossed ­salad, Italian roasted ­potatoes, rolls and butter, iced tea and assorted desserts. All members are invited to hear our guest speaker, Mr. Bob Rast, docent for the ­Manatee ­Viewing Station, who will present an ­interesting talk about manatees. We are very pleased with the ticket sales for the 2nd Annual Sun City Center Community Day with the Tampa Bay Rays! This fun event is scheduled at 12:40 p.m. on Thursday, April 10. The Sun City Center Chamber is offering two packages: the basic package for $25 (valued at $35) includes lower level outfield ticket and round-trip bus transportation from the Chamber parking lot and the home run package for $40 (valued at $65) includes lower box ticket, authentic Rays’ baseball cap and round-trip bus transportation. For more information or to purchase your tickets, stop in at the Sun City Center Chamber, 1651 Sun City Center Plaza, Sun City Center. ­Payment may be made by check, cash, or via credit card. Tickets must be purchased in advance; they are not available the day of game.  

And members, please mark Monday, Feb. 18 on your ­calendar. That’s the day that open registration begins for the 19th Annual Spring Trade Fair. The Trade Fair will be held from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on April 8 at the Community Hall, 1910 S. Pebble Beach Blvd. in Sun City Center. Call or drop in to reserve your booth.
