I’m very pleased to announce that our 2008 Chamber Directories arrived last week and are on display in the Chamber lobby.  I encourage everyone to stop by and pick up a  copy today – in addition to a beautiful 56 page piece on our wonderful community, all of our Sun City Center Chamber members (at the time of printing) are listed both by category and alphabetically.  For business members, please know that this high-quality, always in-demand publication is the first point of contact for families and businesses interested in relocating to the Sun City Center area, as well as a valuable guide to longtime residents and tourists.  Thousands of these full-color publications will be distributed to prospective customers for YOUR business, products and services.  So don’t forget to stop by and pick up copies to distribute and display at your place of business!

It’s hard to believe but the WalMart Super Center located at 4028 State Road 674 in Wimauma will be celebrating their 1 Year Anniversary on April 18, 19 and 20. It seems like it was just yesterday that we all stood outside their brand new building with our “big scissors and red ribbon”. WalMart plans to have lots of food and fun at this event plus you can buy a raffle ticket to win some very nice prizes.  All proceeds benefit Children’s Miracle Network.  The Sun City Center Chamber Ambassadors and Staff will be there to celebrate with an Anniversary Ribbon Cutting.  So mark those dates on your calendar and join us at the WalMart Super Center.

And speaking of the Sun City Center Ambassadors, many thanks to Pam Lopez, Account Executive for The Tampa Tribune.  Pam will steer the Ambassador Group, organize and lead the meetings and work with the Chamber in event planning.  I am so pleased to have Pam on board – she’s a wonderful addition to the team!
