This Member Spotlight is written by Fred Svejda of Comfort Keepers, conveniently located in the Sun City Center Plaza.
IN-HOME CARE FOR SENIORS AND LOVED ONES
At Comfort Keepers®, nothing is more important than helping people live full, independent and dignified lives within the comfort of their own homes. Comfort Keepers is dedicated to providing in-home care that enriches clients’ lives and helps them maintain the highest possible level of independent living.
Families choose Comfort Keepers for different reasons. For some, it is for extensive care. For others, we offer a much needed break or “respite care” for family members who regularly provide care.
With over 550 franchised locations in the U.S, Canada, Ireland, Portugal, Australia, New Zealand, and Singapore, Comfort Keepers touches lives around the world and is the comforting solution for your loved one’s in-home care.
Fred and Tatyana Svejda own and operate Comfort Keepers offices in Sun City Center and Brandon. The Sun City Center office opened its doors in 2004. Earlier this year, both Fred and Tatyana were awarded the designation of Certified Senior Advisor. The Society of Certified Senior Advisors provides training, study, and testing for those who work with seniors. Successful participants have exhibited an understanding of the key health, social and financial factors that are important to seniors; and how these factors work together.
In 2007, the Brandon franchise was purchased from Jim Merckling, who had provided Comfort Keepers services to the area for over five years. Another milestone was reached last year when Comfort Keepers became a Home Health Agency #299992773. Local residents Juanita Butte, RN and Lelynna Langdoc, RN serve as Administrator and Alternate Administrator, respectively.
Comfort Keeper provides an in-home needs assessment at no cost to those considering services. Their number, (813) 649-8191 is always answered “Live,” 24/7. Fred or Tatyana will be happy to personally discuss any care-related issues or answer any questions you or a loved one may have.
-Elaine Brad is President of the Sun City Center Area Chamber of Commerce.
