Girls’ Flag Football Is A Success
The Girls’ Flag Football team is off to a great start. The JV team is 5-0, heading into the season finale against Newsome, also 5-0. Last year the teams tied 0-0. The JV has scored 73 points, allowing only 1 TD and a total of 10 points. In the last two games EBHS JV beat Spoto 14-0 (TD runs by Kierstin Perez, Yaraija Martinez) and Lennard 19-8 (TD run by Perez, Brittany Kilburne pass to Jaimy Rivera, Nikki Jones).
Varsity is 4-1 (District 3-1) and has already earned a spot in the District Championship Tournament. In its last two games EBHS beat Spoto 27-15. Dasia Daniels ran for 4 TDs, Stacy-Ann Blake caught an XP and Akeila Brown caused a safety. Against Lennard the Indians won 25-0. Daniels ran for 1 TD and caught a TD pass from Blake. Daniels threw 2 TDs to Blake and Julie Rolfe. The Varsity wraps up the regular season with home games against Durant, Monday, April 14, and Armwood, Thursday, April 17. Games start at 7 p.m.
