The Unique Tack Design ...

... offers unusual and decorative accessories (tack) for horses.

The invention of the Unique Tack Design is a specially designed line of hand-crafted bridles, breast collars and similar tack. The entire line of horse tack comes adorned with a variety of striking decorative embellishments. Braided by hand to create elegant macramè pieces, the Unique Tack Design is comprised primarily of poly-pro nylon rope and features metal components, all produced in a vast array of colors and designs. The tack comes in a variety of sizes to accommodate various breeds.

As with traditional tack, items from the line feature conway buckles, Chicago screws and similar hardware for use in holding and securing each. The hardware is designed as well with fancy raised or engraved patterns and designs which adds an innovative touch of the overall pieces.

The Unique Tack Design was invented by Teri Katchur of Wimauma. She said, “Showcasing a beloved equine is important to all of us who love our horse. The Unique Tack Design offers horse owners a functional, yet fancy tack. These are festive alternatives to traditional leather tack and suited for daily use or for show events. They are easy to apply and durable so will withstand years of repeated use and still maintain the shape and colors of the original purchase. And—better yet—the Unique Tack Design line is comfortable on the horse.”

Every Wednesday Is Relay for Life Day at JF Kicks

Eat at JF Kicks on Wednesday and a portion of all food sales will be donated to The American Cancer Society in support of ongoing research and education programs for those confronted with cancer as a patient, caregiver or family member.

For the fifth time, Debbie Roberts of JF Kicks (formerly of Sidelines in Apollo Beach) will be participating in the Relay for Life 18-hour walk with the Bright Lights Team.

During the last 4 years this team has raised over $50,000.

“Cancer touches us in one way or another every day. I had the privilege of viewing ‘The Last Lecture’ by Randy Pausch (featured on Oprah), who is currently dying of pancreatic cancer,” said Roberts.

“I always have my mother on my mind when I do the relay walk, as she was lost to the same cancer.  This year I’ll be adding the Pausch  family to my thoughts while completing my laps and just praying that not too many more will be lost,” she concluded.

For more information on the relay for life you may go to JF Kicks website: www.jfkicks.com or if you would like to make a direct contribution, all supplies are available at JF Kicks, 3345 Lithia Pinecrest Rd., Valrico or call (813) 643-7777.

Don’t forget to have something to eat on Wednesday. The bigger the crowd, the more money can be donated to help find the cure.
