Paul Wood Plumbing
By Julie Ball
Paul Wood is no rookie to plumbing. He has been in the business for over 20 years. He learned the trade from his father who owned and operated a plumbing business in Oklahoma. He moved to Tampa in 1988 and continued working as a service plumber. “I always dreamed of owning my own plumbing business. Marie and I talked and decided to make it happen,” says Wood.
His wife, Marie, in addition to working as a contract surety underwriter also handles finances, bookkeeping and advertising.  Last December Wood took on the State Plumbing Contractor Exam and passed. They opened for business officially on July 1, 2008.
Paul and Marie Wood

“We specialize in residential and commercial plumbing services, repairs, sewer and drain cleaning, repipes and certified backflows. We also do installation/replacement of faucets and fixtures, toilets and sinks, water heaters, water softeners and garbage disposals,” said Paul Wood. Marie adds, “A big advantage to hiring us is we don’t have high overhead expenses because the company is based out of our home. Therefore, we are able to pass on the savings to our customers.”
Paul Wood Plumbing, Inc. is a family owned and operated business in Ruskin, FL. They offer 24/7 emergency service throughout Hillsborough County. You can reach them for services or questions at (813) 641-1387 or online at paulwoodplumbinginc.com.
